The Paterson Institute is a research lab located at Christies Hospital. The fund purchases vital equipment to assist in the research, clinical trials and treatment of ovarian cancer, carried out at the Paterson labs.

Tony Sammut from Rochdale ran the London Marathon.
Also running were Sylvia and Wendy, old friends of Joan.
